We
try not to judge a wine by the label, but in the case of Il Cuore
(eel-quarry), not only can you give a bottle of wine with a really fun
label for Valentine’s, but a great tasting one as well. These popular

Il Cuore Chardonnay 2000
A seductively
light-hearted white wine that emphasizes the soft, fresh flavors of
grapes grown in California's best vineyards. A perfect companion for a
light, romantic meal of baked halibut or light pasta. A sensual blend
of Chardonnay and ten percent Viognier. This lightly oaked wine is
sure to add a note of playfulness to a quiet evening at home.

Il Baciale Rosso2000, Piedmonte, Italy
In
Piemontese dialect, baciale means matchmaker. In fact this wine is a
perfect, but unusual marriage of 80 percent Barbera and 20 percent
Pinot Noir. A bold and very elegant wine that has a full, slightly
spicy nose, with characteristics of berries. Warm in the mouth, with a
finish of plum and cinnamon. This beautiful, limited and versatile red
will be perfect with red and white meats, and medium ripe cheeses.
